LearnLab was founded in 1999 in Norway, Oslo Science Park. Since then, a lot has happened.
Everything we may have accomplished this far, we have accomplished together with our partners, networks, and researchers. Over the years, we have collaborated with over 2000 schools and kindergartens, representing over 100 municipalities and cities.
Collaborating on this level means to inquire into new pedagogies and tools for learning with students, teachers, and school leaders. Our work also comprise collaboration with ministries, directorates, governments, local authorities, professional unions, and international networks. Here we engage in real-life problem solving together with educational ministers, directors, policy-makers, pedagogic advisors, and administrators.
When working with the diversity of educational organizations, everything we do must be informed by strong and updated evidence. Therefore, from day one, we have always worked side by side with educational professors, starting with professor Erling Lars Dale at the University of Oslo in 1999. This collaboratively approach has led us into projects with the following professors: Lorna Earl, Michael Fullan, Andy Hargreaves, Kjell B. Hjerto, Peter Mortimore, Pak Tee Ng, Jan-Merok Paulsen, Knut Roald, Viviane Robinson, and Louise Stoll.
Our services are characterized by a combination of digital learning technologies, new pedagogies and strong educational research. Everything we do is a mix this, including the work we do together with partner organizations, educational researchers and professional educators.
We operate in over ten countries through networks and collaboration across schools, educational systems, governments, universities and EdTech companies. Why? To ensure that we are continuously challenging ourselves.
